THE SLEUTHSAYERS
"No doubt about it," film historian Bruce David recently remarked, "seeing
a high-ranking movie star in the buff or having sex (however implicit), holds
a certain attraction. Although it's hard to imagine what Sharon Stone has left
to show {the answer is right on pages 64-67}, one thing's for sure: A lot of us
will be willing to spend the money to find out. And Hollywood knows it."
But only the Sleuth shows it!
Perhaps Madonna, who knows something about stripping {she leads Sleuth's pulchritude
pack with nine, er, entries and will return next issue with all new-d views},
put it best: "I like the Mystery of not knowing what people's bodies look
like. I don't think I'd like it if everyone was walking around naked all the time.
I like clothes. But I think everybody should run through the streets at least
once. Or be naked when you're not supposed to be naked." Which is where we
come in...
For the lucky SEVENTH consecutive year, we've gathered (in the all) together "The
25 Sexiest Women" in the world for our annual extravaganza. Many have never
appeared in SLEUTH, or anywhere else before, while ALL are depicted in new and
never-before-seen nudes! And, as always, we've endeavored to present a broad spectrum:
16 domestic delights and 9 foreign finds—including a pair of French, Asian
and Black beauties; four Brit bits and one awesome Aussie {Elle, you say?). And,
since we cater to all tastes, our magnificent morsels are evenly divided with
13 famous figures who'd universally be considered busiy{ShoshAnna Lonstein, Charlotte
Lewis, Pamela Anderson, etc.} and 12 who'd likely be seen as less endowed—but
equally sensuous {e.g., Rene Russo, Julianne Moore, Linda Fiorentino).
"Being a celebrity," notes Hollywood scribe Jackie Collins, "is
like walking a tightrope. You have to stay balanced the entire time and be very
aware of where your next step must go. Otherwise you slip. And it all falls down"{starting
with the top}. As authoress Anne Hollander concludes: "People without clothes
are still likely to behave as if they wore them. Clothes, even when omitted, cannot
be escaped." Nor can Sleuth...
Counting our Blessings.
