EDITORIAL NOTE
If you think you're seeing an abundance of beautiful women in this issue, you're
correct. In honor of the 1984 Olympic Games, to be held this Summer in Los Angeles,
OUI presents its California Special —chock-filled with luscious ladies hailing
from such California locales as Berkeley, Salinas, San Diego and, of course, the
City of Angels. Have any doubts that California sunshine produces some of the
finest looking women in the world? Then take a peek at All-American Girl (p. 14),
A Radical at Berkeley (p. 26) or Snapshots from Salinas (p. 48), OUl's ode to
the "typical" California housewife.
However; even with all the beauty and grace associated with the Olympics, there
is another side to the situation. Will the '84 Games became a base of terrorist
activities? Will drugs hinder the competitive edge? Will politics put a damper
on the events? Olympics Under Siege (p. 22) uncovers the behind-the-scenes story
and reveals what could happen in the pressure-cooker situation.
Accenting the Olympics article is a presaging illustration by staff artist Curt
Hoppe. Hoppe's work, which has appeared in numerous national magazines, has highlighted
many of OUI's top stories in recent months, including Who-Struck-John (April '84)
and Balling For Dollars (March '84).
Illustrations also play a large part in the world of erotica, which is why OUI
Fantasies (p. 46) is accompanied by a sexually stimulating piece of artwork, proving
that it is not only a photograph that is worth a thousand words.
Got a minute? Can we talk oral sex? You know what we mean muff diving, eating
at the Y, 69, giving head, gobbling the beaver--call it what you like, it's part
of our sexual lives and has had a unique role throughout history. Author Warren
Emery, who claims to be experienced in such matters, tells you Everything You
Wanted To Kqow About Oral Sex...But Didn't Know Whom To Ask (p. 68). Any additional
