Get in gear for the New Year
EDITORIAL NOTE
The holidays are a time for happiness and good will towards men and
women - but if the Holiday heebee-geebees have got you down, let OUI
help you get it up.
So, you're asking, what exactly does OUI have planned for this first
issue of 1986? Good question. Our lead story is an impact piece: The
Fast Life And Mysterious Death Of Jim Morrison (p. 32), by West
Coast-based writer Stephen Richard Silva. It's been 15 years since the
death of Morrison, former lead singer for The Doors, but his legend
looms larger than ever. His reported death - there are those who feel
he is still alive in some secluded place - was a mystery, but that was
not out of the ordinary for a man whose whole life was an enigma. Silva
spend three years retracing Morrison's final months, days and hours.
The result is a captivating piece that should raise eyebrows on fans,
friends and foes of Morrison alike.
January 26th is Super Bowl Sunday, and, thinking of the countless OUI
readers who also are NFL fans, we present OM Guide 7b Super Bowl XX (p.
