EDITORIAL NOTE
Welcome! Enter our exotic playground and meet our beautiful GIRLS OF THE ORIENT. Once again we invite you to travel with us to the Far East and sample the "wares" of some of the most exquisite young women the world has to offer. You don't have to be into Asian women to appreciate the girls featured here. You just have to be a connoisseur of beauty and love to see sexy ladies giving their all to tease and please. The Orient has often been thought of as a mysterious place, but the real mystery is how one region can boast so many gorgeous, nubile young ladies, whose beauty is literally breathtaking. That Mother Nature has endowed Asian women with looks, humility, and passion is a blessing that doesn't have to be understood to be appreciated.
What you will, however, be able to appreciate is the lineup of amazing ladies coming your way. One is more spectacular than another, if that's possible. We begin our erotic odyssey with POK. Young and eager to please, this Oriental flower blossoms before your very eyes! Then SUZI sails into view. Her pictorial takes place on the deck of a ship, but unlike the Titanic, you won't get a sinking feeling from her. In fact, she'll get quite a rise out of you! Next, HANNA CHAN mixes traditional Oriental sensuality with contemporary Western kink. It's not often you'll see an Asian woman in nylons — and garter belt, but she's the exception to the rule! For a change of pace, you'll be able to behold LEANNI LEI. American-bred, but of Filipino heritage, she just happens to be one of the hottest superstars in adult films at the moment! And she Gums your way in a very sizzling centerfold! YOKO follows hot on her heels. Actually, she's so hot that she has to take a bath to cool off. But when you see the steam rising from her tub, you'll be anything but cool! While all things must end, TIA will help you part on a happy note. Cute, cuddly, and curvaceous, she has no qualms about parting her pink lips with her delicate fingers. We guarantee that Tia is your cup of tea!
Need we tell you that's not all? You'll find features galore, all designed to enhance your enjoyment of the Oriental culture, more specifically in a sexual sense, of course. There's our "Tales From Thailand" Asian sex dairy; an in-depth look at post-war Cambodia, where they now make love, not war; feverish fiction; your exciting letters—and a whole lot more. It's time to savor the goodies. A heaping helping of Oriental carnal cuisine is being served. May your plate overflow with satisfaction!

About Stag
The first Stag magazine, published by Leeds Publishing Corp., beginning with vol. 1, #1 (June 1937), was a 25-cent, 96-page, digest subtitled "A Magazine for Men" and which included articles and stories by such writers as Carleton Beals, Elsa Maxwell, Bernard Sobel, and Hendrik Willem van Loon. It covered a range of topics, including literature, music, sports, and theater, along with stories on male-female relationships, sexual issues, and such topics as striptease.

A second volume, published by Official Com. Inc. and edited by Noah Sarlat, appeared circa 1951 as a 25-cent, 82-page, standard-sized men's adventure magazine. This version, containing ostensibly "true-life" fiction of men in wartime or in rugged adventure mode, continued through at least volume 22 in 1971, by which time it had published by Martin Goodman's related company, Atlas Magazines Inc., and Magazine Management Co., Inc., by which time the cover price had been raised to 50 cents.

Goodman also published the annual publication Stag Annual, starting in 1964.

Writer Dorothy Gallagher reminisced in 1998 that by the early 1960s, when Magazine Management occupied the second floor at 60th Street and Madison Avenue, "...magazines were produced the way Detroit produced cars. I worked on the fan-magazine line. On the other side of a five-foot partition was the romance-magazine line. And across a corridor were the financial staples of the organization, the men's magazines — Stag, For Men Only, Male — for which, at one time or another, Mario Puzo, Bruce Jay Friedman, David Markson, Mickey Spillane and Martin Cruz Smith wrote, until they became too exalted and rich to do it anymore." Cover illustrators included Frank Soltesz.

Stag transitioned to become a men's pornographic magazine, published by Goodman's son Charles "Chip" Goodman at Magazine Management's successor company, Swank Publications. The publishing group Magna bought Stag and its sister publication Swank from that company in 1993.
